Running was Sue’s outlet for decades but the wear and tear on her joints sent her looking for something different. What she found in yoga was much more than a physical workout. Yoga provided an incredible change in focus along with a calming sense that was so needed in her life and career as a health care administrator. Her desire to pursue teaching yoga was fueled by her love of learning and the desire to bring this incredible gift to the mind, body and spirit of others. Sue received her teacher training from Perennial Yoga Wisdom Community in Madison, WI and with the opening of Northern Fire Yoga, she hopes to share her passion and knowledge of yoga with others while contributing to the overall health of the of the Mercer community. Sue earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UW Madison and a Master’s in Nursing Administration from Edgewood College. She and her husband, Mike have two adult children, four grandchildren and enjoy life at their home on Spider Lake in Mercer.
Heidi’s favorite things are her family, dogs, teaching yoga and travel. Her favorite souvenir from her travels is taking a yoga class or training in every town or county she visits. She loves bringing a sense of community to her classes with the hope that her students will leave with a greater sense of confidence and connection with each other. You can expect to sweat a little in Heidi’s classes, but you’ll also practice at a steady pace based on breath building strength and flexibility with alignment always in mind.

As a child, Vicky participated in all forms of dance lessons and played soccer throughout her elementary and high school years in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Her interest in yoga began several years ago, and her true journey started when she was pregnant with her second daughter. Yoga helped alleviate low back and hip pain and offered just the right amount of gentle movement her body craved during pregnancy. Vicky fell in love with the flow and from there was “born” her daily yoga practice. She received her yoga teacher training from Yama Yoga Studio in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Her passion to offer pregnant woman this wonderful gift and to provide a healthy outlet for children, led Vicky to become certified in prenatal, postnatal, and kids’ yoga. She hopes to spread the knowledge she has gained and to introduce others to this practice that has transformed her life physically and mentally. Vicky obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from UW Stevens Point with a double major in Biology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences and is employed by the Marshfield Clinic in Minocqua. She is also currently pursuing her master’s degree. Vicky is thankful to have met her husband in college because this brought her to the beautiful Northwoods where she can feed her outdoor enthusiasm. She and her husband have a lake home in Winchester where they enjoy life with their two daughters, Josephine and Annabelle.
